I really like the picture heading your blogsite. Can’t tell what the mystery plant is from the photo. Is there a way I can enlarge it?
Your photo of the bleeding heart is beautiful. I really like bleeding hearts also. There are some varieties that are “everblooming”, meaning they rebloom for a while (but not all summer).
Unfortunately I have had to give up on tulips also because of all the wildlife in our area. Daffodils, though, seem to be immune to browsers. Nothing seems to bother them.
Speaking of wildlife, I’m looking out my window right now watching a groundhog rummaging for cicadas, There are plenty for him to choose from. Will be glad when the cicadas are gone. They make a constant loud din outside.
Looking forward to seeing your garden progress throughout the summer.
What area do you garden in? Is it a hot climate like Oklahoma? I stumbled upon your website today and it looks interesting. I read about the Sun Patiens.
Did you find them for sale last year? I saw none in our area.
Sharon Beasley, Okla.
Thank you Sharon. I am in the Chicago suburbs. It can be hot and humid here in the summer. Actually, the sun patiens were given to us, A friend who travels gave them to us. They’re very easy to take care of, but it’s strange to put them in a sunny area. I kept thinking they would fry! They were beautiful this past summer, and really took off! I’ll try to post some more photos. Haven’t done much with the blog lately. Thanks for stopping by!
Hello Webhead61– I think your website is awesome, I am also going to send it to my brother and sister-in-law as they are into every different kind of Hostas (there are over 100,000 varieties I think). I am writing because a friend at work gave me some Lupine seeds to plant and wondered if you knew anything about them? ok thanks for the website.
